Attendance

Attendance & Reliability Expectations at StretchZone
Reliability is about professionalism, respect, and trust. Every role in the studio—Stretch Practitioners, Sales Associates, and LSAs—depends on each other showing up consistently and on time. Our clients schedule appointments expecting us to be ready. Our teammates rely on each other to keep the studio running smoothly.
This post outlines attendance and reliability expectations so that everyone understands the standard and how it’s applied.
Reliability Is a Job Requirement
Being reliable means:
Showing up for scheduled shifts
Arriving on time and ready to work, meaning 10-15 minutes before the first appointment if you are opening the studio.
Communicating clearly and early when issues arise
When reliability slips, it affects: Client experience (retention), Studio flow and Team morale (your workplace environment), and eventually Revenue and growth (our business).
Being On Time
Being on time means being clocked in, present, and ready at the start of your shift.
Expectations:
All staff are expected to arrive on time for every scheduled shift. Early is on time.
Lates are documented
Repeated lates trigger coaching
Continued patterns lead to corrective action
“Almost on time” is still late.
If something is consistently interfering with punctuality, it is your responsibility to communicate early so the issue can be addressed.
Call-Outs & Absences
We understand that illness, emergencies, and unexpected situations happen.
However, patterns matter. All call-outs must follow the procedures outlined in the post If You Can't Be At Your Shift.
Important clarifications:
Frequent call-outs, even when individually legitimate, are tracked as patterns
Chronic call-outs create strain on teammates and studio operations
Calling out does not remove responsibility for reliability as an essential job function
Calling out is not automatically a problem.Calling out frequently without improvement is.
Reliability is often one of the biggest factors considered for:
Increased responsibility
Leadership roles
Schedule preference
Long-term growth within the company
Final Thought
Attendance expectations exist to create a respectful, professional environment for everyone.
If you’re struggling with reliability, speak up early. If patterns are forming, address them promptly. If you want to grow here, consistency matters.
Reliability builds trust. Trust builds opportunity.
