Practitioner RE-certification

Updated: Oct 8, 2025

Each year on the anniversary of a Stretch Practitioner's certification they must renew their Stretch Zone SP cert by submitting a video to corporate office for audit and approval to continue stretching. Several weeks before it is due there will be an email sent to the studio to alert the practitioner and give them time to prepare and submit the video. A randomly selected protocol will be chosen for them to perform. The protocols are derived from the stretch variation sheet located in the Stretch Zone Stretch Manual (spiral book).

This article is to help you understand what will be expected when it's your turn to re-certify.

Where to Submit:

Each staff member will be submitting a video to the Dropbox submission link performing the assigned protocol on one-side only, with 1-repetition of each stretch, holding the stretch for the correct amount of time. This video should be no more than 10 minutes long.

The audit will be observing the following:

·     7-steps for each stretch are performed correctly

·     Proper flow of stretches

·     Body mechanics

·     Verbal cues – including the correct intensity scale used, the muscle name, and either verbalizing or palpating the correct area where the stretch should be felt

  • If assigned Purple Cell, please perform the bonus stretch

  • If assigned Black Cell, please perform the warm-up

Please ensure that the stretches and hand placements are fully visible in the video. If the auditor cannot see the stretch, you will not receive credit for the stretch. Attached is a PDF outlining the best camera angle to use for each cell.

It is suggested that all staff review the Stretch Practitioner Refresher Course on SZU located under the virtual training tab. Reach out if you have any visibility issues.

You will have 25 days to upload the video of the protocol assigned. The due date will be clearly assigned.

Please upload the video submission as one video, and not multiple ones. Points will be deducted if multiple videos for the same stretch audit are submitted.

Failure to submit video submissions by the due dates provided will result in a default in compliance measures outlined in the Franchise Disclosure Document (meaning our owners can be fined and the practitioner position would be at risk for anyone failing to submit on time).

We encourage you to stay fresh on the details of all the stretches so that you could easily pass re-certification at any time. This protects your own body and our members too. Happy stretching!
